Now we’ve ticked over into March (how on Earth!!) it seems opportune to share with you my favourite books, podcasts and other products of February and so that is what I shall do.

Let’s start with the good stuff… Books! I have once again assumed my position as resident bookworm now that textbooks and academia are in my past (Thank You Jesus haha) and as a result, I have read a couple of great books over the past month.

Firstly, an absolute classic: The Screwtape Letters by one of my great heroes of the faith, C. S. Lewis.

Friends, it is a complete masterpiece. It was first published in 1942 but the tone and message is so timely and modern that you would never guess it’s 80 years old. It is a series of letters from a senior devil, Screwtape, to his nephew Wormwood, a junior devil. C. S. Lewis writes from the opposite perspective of the Bible and it is so eye-opening and fascinating! Screwtape’s purpose is to encourage and advise Wormwood in the best ways he can cut us humans off from God and secure our place in Hell. It is full of scarily brilliant explanations of the exact tactics from the enemy we need to be aware of and fight against. I honestly cannot overestimate how great it is and recommend you get yourself a copy ASAP!

Next, a non-fiction pick, Made For This Moment by Madison Prewett, a Christian influencer and star of The Bachelor series 24. The book is autobiographical, with Madi reflecting on the ways in which God prepared her for her moment in the spotlight which was a chance to represent God to the world and stand firm in her faith and convictions. This was an especially brilliant book for me as a single girl in my mid-twenties, as Madi is in the same season, but really this book is full of the kind of advice every teen, twenty and thirty-something year old girl (and guy) could benefit from hearing. Madi is inspirational and a really great Christian to look up to as she demonstrates to us how to be in the world but not of the world as the next generation rising.

Ok, next my favourite new podcast: In This Together by Maia Mae Billman and co-hosted by Isla Eyzaguirre. I came across Maia’s Instagram from Sadie Robertson Huff’s as they’re future sister-in-laws and loved Maia’s infectious joy and positivity. When she launched this podcast a few weeks ago I knew it would be a great listen and I wasn’t disappointed. Maia and Isla share their own experiences as twenty-somethings navigating university (college), jobs, friendships and relationships all which centring all their wisdom and advice on God. They make you feel part of their friendship group and truly desire to love and support their listeners and empower you to be God’s best for yourself.

For clothes picks this month, I’ve got a cracker for you. If you’re eco-conscious like me and try not to contribute to the fast fashion atrocity, Thrift+ may just be an answered prayer haha. Thrift+ has loads of great high-street and designer brands and proceeds from the sale of each item goes to a different charity, like Choose Love. If it’s a win for fashion, the environment and charity then it’s definitely a big win for me.

Lastly, onto skincare and makeup. I can categorise these together as they’re both from the brand Trinny London. This is a relatively new line but I have beeb absolutely loving the products so far. My top picks are the Better Off gel cleanser which leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and clear and the BFF Skin Perfector which is a BB cream and SPF all-in-one. This is definitely a brand to look out for!

Hope you guys love these as much as I do! Check out my YouTube video where I talk about all of these favourites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l-A_RBmCkc

Happy March x

But Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'
